SOCCER SHOWDOWNS
This project consisted in creating a guide booklet containing information about a subject we had a passion for. This passion had to translate to a place based around San Diego, or South California, as a guide for consumers in the area wanting to learn more about it.
Football (soccer) is my passion, so creating a guide centered in soccer stadiums located in the South of California would be a fitting choice. The guide contains information such as historical background of the sport of soccer in California, as well 20 stadiums located in the South of California that could be visited by soccer fans, such as the legendary Rose Bowl Stadium.

Process
The Bahn Schrift typeface contains an enormous number of styles in its family. Which made it a whole lot easier to create a harmonious hierarchy system in each page.
The goal was to create an authentic sports design feel throughout each page. So, using lines and circles in order to imitate the lines you would usually see in a football pitch helped to communicate the feel that was being aimed for. The logo seen next to the Soccer Showdowns title was created in order to represent the guide's focus on California and soccer.
The main color throughout the guide is green, as it is the same color of grass used in football pitches, the yellow and orange was used to represent the sun, which reminds of south of California where it is sunny almost all seasons.
